Legacy Society
Generosity is a strong virtue
in Shelby County. The Legacy Society recognizes
those who have created a lastin legacy by making
a gift to The Community Foundation a part of
their estate plan.
The Legacy Society acknowledges
local residents who have chosen to make a provision
in a will or other estate planning instrument
to establish
a fund within The Community Foundation or
to leave a contribution to an existing
fund. These future donors need not identify
the amount of the contribution and may choose
to remain anonymous.
Some of the advantages of acknowledging
your place in the Legacy Society are:
- The ability to confidentially
discuss your specific wishes with Community
Foundation staff to ensure your thoughts are
understood and how they may be carried out,
- The opportunity to learn from
Community Foundation staff regarding any duplication
of bequests or options to consider,
- The capability to feel the
personal enjoyment associated with your gift.
Whether publicly or quietly recognized, you
will know that your gift will be well used
and appreciated.
